Helinks STS is able to generate an up-to-date pdf documentation see chapter Documentation. This documentation is based on the content of the project and the content of the SCL file.
Despite that user can attach word document to all these types of element in the project :

These word document will be added later on the generated documentation.
Attach word document
With a right mouse click on the element you have access to the menu items ’open documentation'.
If a document is already attached to this element it will be opened in word and you can adapt it.
Either the dialog allow you to import or create a new word document.
