Training Information

The Helinks STS Training teaches IEC 61850 System Engineering with Helinks STS.

The intended audience for this training are substation and system engineers. The participants should be familiar with IEC61850 and with the substation engineering process in general.

The training consists of 2 parts.

1. The first part introduces the tool, the main concepts, and the usage of the major tool features.

2. In the second part, we will implement an example project. This part is highly interactive. We define together the functional scope of a project and select IED’s we want to use. Based on this we engineer and discuss the solution.

• Training language will be English/ optionally German or French

• The Maximum number of participants is 5. For a higher number of participants, we offer to book a second trainer who will support the participants during the hands-on parts.

Training will be held at the Customer site or online using an appropriate online training platform.

Training at Customer Site

The Customer does provide a meeting room with internet access, flip chart/whiteboard, and projector. Each participant should bring a (portable) PC with Windows XP or higher for the hands-on part of the training. Schedule and breaks are agreed with the customer

Online Training

Online Training is provided by means of an online training platform. The participants can register for the scheduled training sessions and access the training material online.

A good internet connection and a headset are highly recommended. A video camera is optional.
